How I fought ACNE, kinda | BODY SHOP | T3 | ETUDE HOUSE

Update: I forgot to mention that these products did help me reduce quite a lot of my acne situation. However, do seek professional help of your acne is very severe. Also, do bare in mind that what works for me may or may not work for you. Everyone's skin is different.

Hi there! It's been an awful long time since my last post. Long story short, external HDD decided to go haywire, lost all my life's worth of photos, all photos taken for blogging intentions disappeared, lost the mood to do anything in life. End. Yes, I am extremely heartbroken but I am over it. no not really. I don't have particularly many readers anyway so I don't think anyone actually cared lol but hey here's today's post!

So thanks to some Innisfree products I no longer have flaky skin. Yes, I still have dry skin, but not flaky. Sometime around CNY, I had skin crisis. Read about it here. My skin did improve somewhat since then. However, the pimples and bumps did not go away. In fact, they decided to reproduce and have a party on my face and body - back and chest area.

I have no idea what made me breakout. So, I decided to stop using all my most frequently used makeup and skin care. So here are some new products I've been using since.

But wait, now that I think about it again.. I don't use my skincare products nor makeup on my back and chest area. Could it be my lifestyle and eating habits that were causing the breakouts? Hmm... Welp, moving on...

The first product is the little white bottle of cream - Oxy. Oxy 10 is a pimple cream containing 10% benzyl peroxide. If your skin is very sensitive, you can purchase Oxy 5 with only 5% benzyl peroxide. I apply this on my new pimples. It's pretty good. Not super good, but pretty good. I don't really have much to say about this product because I always forget to use it :/

So sometime from sometime in May to June, Body Shop had sales of up to 70%. I decided to give their products a go. Purchased the Tea Tree products to reduce the acne party on my fez. Unfortunately, I don't remember how much each of these products costed during the sales so prices stated here will be the current prices.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner - RM49.00

This toner seeps right into your skin upon application. Does what it says - leaves skin matte. Tea Tree smell is quite strong, I hate it, hold my breath every time I apply it. Thank heavens the smell does not linger. There a slight tingly minty feeling upon application as well.

Funny story. I never read the instructions on the back of this bottle. Used it like a regular toner until today when I was placing it on the surface to take some pictures then I realise this layer of white somewhat hard-ish liquid? Particle? at the bottom. So I was like "eh. Why like this? Has it expired or something??"

So, I read the instructions... and turns out, you're supposed to "shake well before use". So you guys... Shake well before use.

Vitamin Aqua Boost Sorbet - RM75.00
The lady in Body Shop told me that this product moisturises the skin but then a beautician who gave me facial today told me that Vitamin E's products are quite drying as they act as a whitening product as well. -.- So this might be more suitable for people with very oily skin. I stopped using it because I have never been fond of whitening products at all.

I'd like to mention though that the content is very pretty and really does look like sorbet. Oh yes, gives an "instant cooling sensation" just like the Tea Tree Toner. Plus, it smells good.

Now, moving on to the more interesting products. MAKEUP!

Tea Tree Pore Minimiser - RM73.00
Product description:
Infused with Community Fair Trade organic Tea Tree oil
Smoothes, primes and mattifies

This does a pretty good job in blurring out my pores. Does not feel very drying even though it's supposed to mattify the skin. Comparable to Too Faced primer.

Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream - RM63.00 each
Product description:
Formulated with purifying Community Fair Trade organic Tea Tree oil from Kenya
Blemishes and imperfections are instantly covered
Lightweight formula gives shine-free complexion
Long lasting formulation
Infused with subtle rose scent

This product does a medium coverage for blemishes and imperfections. Does a great job for my uneven skin tone. Yes, it is lightweight, not sticky and applies smoothly. Is it shine-free, yes... For me. But I feel that if you are one with oily skin, it will not be shine-free for very long. Is it long lasting, no. Does it smell like rose? No. At least not to me. Also, it does not break me out.

BUT, it really does not stay at all. Comes off really easily I must say.

The biggest downside is that it only comes in two shades. Shade 01 is too light for me and shade 02 is the colour of my bronzers. So, I had to buy both of the shades to mix.

For my skin colour, it's 2 parts Shade 01 and 1 part Shade 01. Or in other words, Shade 02 is half or less than half of Shade 1. I hope you get me.

The spork is for assisting in sticking double eyelids. I use the ends to mix the two shades.

Yes. Liddis. Juz mix the two.

Before application
During Application
And after
Beli naise. Texture is creamy but still somewhat runny. I applied it with my fingers and sometimes with the Laneige or Innisfree BB Cushion sponge applicator - Which I forget to take pictures of but you can see the applicator here

NEXT PRODUCT IZ MY ULTIMATE FAV. The Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer. When I first got this some time last year, I was told by the lady in one of the Etude House branches that they only have one shade for this. So I went back to repurchase this product assuming that there's only one shade. Grabbed one on the spot and go. Got home opened it and was like shocked to see that this new one that I got is lighter than the one I have. Went on their webpage and turns out they have it in two shades. Seriously man.

Can we just sidetrack for a bit here? It angers me when the sales person for a particular brand does not know jack shit about the product or brand that they're selling. So, you're just an employee.. You just work to sustain your living you care not for the brand that hired you. BUT DEAR HOMO SAPIEN, DO YOU CARE NOT YOUR OWN IMAGE? Sometimes I go into a store with the knowledge of the product ready to buy but inquire anyway. And I going to be very blunt here, as soon as they open their mouth to speak, I want to slap the bejesus out of them. I want to educate them. This coming from someone who does not work for the brand. Shame on you lah! You look like a fool.

ANYWAY.

Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer
7g - RM40

It covers blemishes and dark circles and redness around the nose pretty well! It's the perfect shade for me. I think suitable for those with light to medium skin tones. Not drying at all. Not so cheap but Etude House often have promotions so keep a look out for those!

Comparison for both shades

Surprisingly enough the surprise concealer in both shades are suitable for my skin tone. (See what I did there?) The darker shade gives of course a super duper natural finish because its almost exactly my skin tone at that time when I got it - this was the first one that I got. But I've gotten fairer, and it still does suit me but the lighter one gives a more brightening effect if you will. So yeah.. Two thumbs up for this. I am always on the lookout for good and affordable concealers because often times I don't use foundation or bb cream.

Pattern

Here's a picture of the full face with the Tea Tree BB cream and Etude House Surprise Essence concealer.

This is actually an accidental shot. Pretty good, huh? *shy* I like it... Kinda.

Ok. Last product. So lengthy, gosh.

T3 Acne Body Wash

This product saved my life skin. I wouldn't say the acne on my body have completely disappeared but it definitely did tame them. Before this my body's acne were so red and itchy and just very irritating. After just about 2 washes with this, the redness and swelling went away. Only leaving little spots. Which is pretty great I must say. However, my guy friend tell me that I smell like WD40 every time I shower with this. Pfft.

That's all I have for this post. Have a good one earthlings!

Much love.

Laneige | BB Cushion

Almost exactly a month since my last post! Sorry guys.. been a little caught up with UNI shenanigans.

TODAY, I will be talking about the very hyped about Laneige BB Cushion! I know, I am so fashionably super late.

Purchased this during the Laneige's pre-GST sales. Bought 2 for RM250. It's not that much cheaper from the original price, 1 for RM150.

I first heard about this product in one of Michelle Phan's video. I searched about it and there are a lot of mixed reviews. Some liked it, some loved it, some actually hated it.

Now, when it comes to purchasing any foundation, bb creams of whatever base products, I can get very anal. I don't want to splurge on something that will not suit me in the long run because then what am I supposed to do with it? They're not cheap and the amount per bottle or tube ain't little. Yea I can give it to someone with the same skin colour as I but think of it... If I were to buy 10 wrong foundations and give them away.. WHERE MY MONEY GO. Ya know?

K. Moving on..

In the box you'll find the Laneige BB Cushion in the case and a refill pack. You must be wondering that if I am so anal about foundations why on earth did I buy two?! I'll get to that a little later..

The reason why I never purchased this Laniege BB Cushion was because I never got to try it in stores. And that's because unlike other foundations or BB creams, the Laneige BB Cushion does not come it a tube or a bottle..

It comes like this. With an applicator and and the bb cream is soaked in a sponge. There are testers in Sephora and Laniege stores. However, the applicators are filthy as fak. If I were to apply the bb cream with the applicator I can guarantee you my face will have to be disposed due to allergic reactions. Right. Also, since the bb cream is soaked in that sponge *points*, I get the feeling that it might very well be contaminated as well.

A dear friend of mine swore by this product. So, I thought I really should give this product a try. Ok, back to why I bought two. Because this friend of mine say that it's the best thing in the world, I thought that if i didn't like this product, I can give her the refill pack of the opened one and sell the unopened one to her.

Turns out....

I REALLY LOVE IT AND IT IZ MY HOLY GRAIL RAIT NAO.

It claims to be a cushion-type whitening BB with 6 effects (Whitening + Moisturising + Sunscreen + Water Resistant + Soothing + Makeup Effects).

Not sure about it being water proof and super long lasting but it's pretty dang good seeing how humid Malaysia is. And it has SPF50+ btw.

As of right now, I don't have dry skin. This friend of mine who swore by this product however, has really dry skin. Her skin is so dry that she cannot set her face with powder at all. So all you dry skin girlfriends out there, get yo ass to any stores selling this and get one!

Current skin condition is normal yet still loving this product. I do set it with a translucent powder. The way this product works  is umph. So brilliant! The applicator makes it so easy apply. Usually I'd take about 15-20 mins to apply bb cream/foundation + concealer and do my brows. Now, 5-7 mins and I'm out the door! Although, I don't have super dark eye circles, I still needed concealer. But ever since I've started using this, I feel like I don't need concealer for my under eyes anymore! Concealers are used for only my blemishes and scars now.

Coverage is light to medium. Covers my dark eye circles and redness. Only lightens blemishes and pimples. Texture is really light and smooth.

For those sensitive to smell.. Unfortunately, this BB Cushion has a very strong floral (I think) scent. Does not bother me a tad bit.. I think I might even like the scent. Hee.

I don't recommend this product for those with really oily skin as I tend to get a little oily at the end of the day and do feel the need to powder or blot. But, there is another version of this which I believe is the latest one? It's called the Pore Control BB Cushion. For those with oily skin, you can probably go check that out. I haven't tried that one and I'm guessing it'll be a long time to go before I actually purchase another BB / foundation product lol (bought 2 boxes meaning 4 to finish).

My face before application. I look a little sick, don't I? :/ Perfect time to show a before and after because when I took this photo, I slept really late the night before and woke up reaaallyyy early. So yeh!

And now, after applying Laneige BB Cushion and brows oh and lipstick! Confidence level shoots up to infinity. Hah, jokes. No, not really.

See how it really brightens my skin? Evens my skin tone, covers redness and dark eye circles. LOVE. Never liked foundations with matte finishes so this is really awesome for me. Really lightweight and dewy. Two thumbs up!

Also, it may seem like it, but I did not adjust the brightness of the "after" photo. Sat at the exact same place (see background) with the exact same lighting. You can see that my neck colour in the "before" and "after" pictures are of the same colour/brightness/shade/whatnot.

One downside though, it only comes in 4 shades. So no much choices there. Lucky me to have a shade that's perfect for my skin colour. :)

Luvs uu :) *Till next post!

Innisfree | Browcara & Eco Eyebrow Pencil

Brows. Very important aren't they? When I was younger, I never paid much attention to my brows because I had very thick brows. I normally just get the beautician to trim my brows to desired shape and then that's it. As I grow older, I start to see how very bushy and messy they were. As much as I love how lucky I am to have thick brows... They have them flaws too.

Yes they're thick and all I have to do is pluck my stray hairs, which are a lot by the way and they grow out really quick. Also, my brows seem to have got it all wrong and grew from thin to thick instead of thick to thin like normal brows should.

I've been on the hunt for good brow products. I've used Body Shop brow powder, Sleek brow kit, CyberColours' brow pencils and Wet 'n' Wild brow pencils (they're the worst!!) Most of them worked okay but not perfectly. Until....

Remember how I mentioned that I'd try out Innisfree's makeup products? So here's the first two products I picked up.

Eco Eyebrow Pencil in No. 4 Deep Brown

This is the Eco eyebrow pencil with the pencil on one side and a spoolie on the other. Love.

Product Description
Package Quantity: 0.3g

Comes in 4 shades:
- No. 1 Grey
- No. 2 Black
- No. 3 Brown
- No. 4 Deep Brown

Price: RM15

It's pencil but it's not too harsh or too pigmented that it applies almost like powder which gives a very natural application. The colour I love. I used to think that I have really dark brows so the only colour I could used for my brows are grey. Turns out not. This is puuurfectt. I've had this for 3 months plus now and I've only used up a quarter. How? I don't know. And I do my brows everyday. Yes everyday - to thicken the front part and fill in some spars areas. Oh, it's only RM15. RM15! Also, I love how it comes with a spoolie so there's no need to pack one with! The spoolies on this brow pencil is different from the spoolies I own. This is a lot softer and does not take any product off whenever I brush my eyebrows. Teehee. K moving on.

Ultrafine Browcara in No. 1 Dark Brown

Next up is the Ultrafine Browcara.

Product Description
Package Quantity: 4g

Comes in 3 shades:
- No. 1 Dark Brown
- No. 2 Natural Brown
- No. 3 Light Brown

Price: RM25

This is the first brow-cara kinda brow product I've ever tried so I can't comment much on this as opposed to other brow products like this. I do like this though. My brows gets pretty crayyy so this does help keep them in place as well as lighten them a little. Sometimes when I'm in a rush, I'll just use this alone and then I'm good to go! Quick and easy. So yes, it's quite good. The only downside is that the brush is a little too small for my thick brows but it's fine.

The only decent picture I can find using both the brow products.

Here's a picture of my brows with both the eyebrow pencil and browcara. Nice, no? Haha. I usually don't matchy matchy my brow colour to my hair colour so yeah. That's all for this post!

Toodaloos! I luvs uu *heart*

Skin and Hair SOS! + Makeup

This is quite a lengthy post..

I'm pretty sure everyone have been through either one or both of what is mentioned in the title of this blog post.

Here's my story..

About a week before Chinese New Year, for some reason, my skin condition became pretty bad - the worst it has ever been to be honest. I regret not taking a picture of my skin condition then because now I cannot show a before and after but I'll try my very best to explain!

Before Chinese New Year and during the first 2 weeks of Chinese New Year, I started getting a lot of breakouts and bumps AND dryness on my face. Little red spots, pimples, blackheads, flaky skin, you name it, I got it - although not all over, mostly on my cheeks and forehead area. And of course those pimples and blackheads soon turned to scaring.

Imagine applying foundation on that kind of skin condition. None of my foundation worked properly at that time and I was beyond bummed because, I mean... IT'S CHINESE NEW YEAR HEY. The only time of the year when you can walk around Kuching looking all fancy and pretty and nobody be judging.

Did I also mention that I had really dry and sensitive eyes that I could not put on my contact lenses? Yes.

Apart from all that jazz, I also had my hair bleached! We all know what bleaching does to one's hair - yes I still do it from time to time because so beautttt :D

So, in this blog post I want share about all the products I used to help with my skin and my hair. Also, the makeup products and methods I used at the time of my bad skin.

I was back in East Malaysia for about 2 weeks. During that time frame, I had very limited skin care products because I spend most of my time in West Malaysia - all my skin care products were in West Malaysia. Boo.

When I got back to the west i started loading my face with skin care and what not in hopes that my skin will improve. Here goes!

Innisfree Green Persimmon Pore Toner
Laniege Water Bank Mineral Skin Mist
Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack
Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum, Oil, Lotion, Balancing Cream
Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask
ppp Skincare Post- Laser Facial Mask

Here are all the skin care products I used to help my skin. I've mentioned all about the Innisfree Green Tea Set, oil and masks here so I won't be mentioning those again in this blog post.

Starting with the Innisfree Green Persimmon Pore Toner. This toner is as good or maybe even better than my usual toner from Hada Labo. It seeps right into the skin. It has a floral smell to it, which is pretty strong. For those of you who dislike scented products, you may not like this. However, the smell goes away almost right after. At least, I don't smell anything after that. I think the smell is pretty calming.

Awhile back, I purchased a Laniege travel set skin care on Luxola for I believe 20% off. I don't remember how much it costed but it ranged from RM90-100. I think. Anyway, the products did not work out so well for me as it made me breakout quite a bit. I noticed little bumps every time I apply all the products. But there was one product in the set that I enjoyed - the Laniege Water Bank Mineral Skin Mist. When I feel like my face is really dry and flaky after the application of my foundation or bb cream, I will spray this mist all over my face. It gives me a healthier, more dewy complexion.

The ppp Skincare Post-Laser Facial mask is pretty bomb! Put it on. Took it off. Pat it in. Leave it to dry. And instantly my face is super hydrated and plump. Plump? You know, like, in a healthy way? Unfortunately, I have no idea where you can purchase this in Malaysia. My cousin gave it to me and what I do know is that she is working in the PPP Laser Clinic in Singapore. Click the link to find out more.

Now, these babies I got free from purchasing up to a certain amount of products from Innisfree. I haven't tried these before and when my skin got bad, I thought, why not?

This is the massage capsule where you massage it onto your face for about 5 minutes and then rinse it off with luke warm water. The remaining can be kept refrigerated for 7 days upon opening. But all I do is place it in the fridge, massage it on until it becomes tacky and then just wash it off with water. My skin feels extremely hydrated and smooth after using this. Makes my skin looks much more awake as well. I have not used this yellow capsule (Canola Honey - for ample nutrition and intensive hydration for radiant skin) one yet. I've been using the one at the back (Green Tea - to deliver green tea moisture deep within your skin).

Here's how it looks like. It's a pudding like texture for this Green Tea one. One capsule has sufficient amount for about 5-7 times of application, in my case. Really luurrvvveee this.

In conjunction with this capsule, I've also been using the sleeping capsule - this one you apply it all over your face as the last step of your skin care and leave it on overnight. I used the Bija & Aloe one to sooth skin trouble and supply moisture. Amazing. I forgot to take pictures of it before throwing the capsule out when I was done with it so yeah no photos of that particular capsule.

These capsules can be purchased individually for RM7, some RM10. Definitely worth a try!

Now, moving on the makeup I used in order to make myself look more presentable but at the same time helping my skin heal. I couldn't go without makeup during Chinese New Year! So, yes I had to, HAD TO, use makeup. I'm pretty sure every girl will have days like this when you should let your skin "breath" but you just can't. i.e Job interviews, parties, dinners... and whatnot.

My current holy grail, pretty much.

The first product is the TooFaced Primed Poreless primer - the baby pink squeazy bottle. I honestly haven't tried a lot of face primers. The only two primers I've ever tried so far are the Benefit Porefessional and this TooFaced one. I prefer this TooFaced primer because I have pretty dry skin - not large pores as well. This may sound a little weird but I have no reasons as to why I prefer the Too Faced one. I just do. Hah. Using a primer at this time is crucial because instead of using foundation or a medium coverage bb cream, I'm only using a tinted moisturiser. And that, stays on your face for the shortest time, ever.

Next, is a colour corrector product.

Yes it's running out.

Pretty cool huh! In the bottle, the content is this swirly cream in 3 colours - green, lavender and peach. So amazeballs. Ok. This is a primer, colour corrector and an anti-aging skincare serum.

According to the website:

The Green tone helps neutralises redness and conceals blemishes.
The Lavender tone counteracts sallow undertone for a vibrant, energised look.
The Peach tone brightens, illuminates and helps diminish the appearance of sun spots.

I really enjoyed using this product. I feel that it hydrates skin very much. Makes it feel smooth, brighter and definitely healthier. And yes it does neutralise the redness which I have around my cheeks area. But unlike many green-toned bases our there, it does not make your face look awfully white. It's more natural. If you have pretty close to perfect skin, using this alone will be pretty good already. I don't have any sun spots so I can't justify if it does cover or not. Do note that this is just a colour corrector product and you can't expect your face to look completely prefect and flawless by just applying this product alone. The reason why I am using this is because like I have said before I've been using only tinted moisturiser therefore I have to use products to help my tinted moisturiser stay and have my skin looking more even. If I am using a more full coverage bb cream or foundation, I might skip this step.

After that, I apply this.

I honestly have no idea what this product was when I got it. Every time you purchase from Luxola, you get to choose 2 samples before checking out. So one time I chose this. I have never heard of this brand, Klarity, ever. But guess what? I will be purchasing a full sized one probably soon because it. is. bomb. It says here on the box that it is a white lotion with SPF 30/PA++ which provides whitening, purify, repair, firming, smooth, soothe, hydrate, tone, anti-aging, sun-screen and waterproof. For face and body. Just wow. It's working quite well so far but I haven't used it long enough to say for sure. Will dedicated a whole post on this product as soon as I purchase a full sized one. Stay tuned for that!

So the tinted moisturiser that I have been mentioning in this post is this. This is the Tarte BB tinted moisturiser with SPF 20 sunscreen. The consistency of this BB is pretty thick but yet somewhat, watery? I do not recommend this to people who have acne prone or oily skin. Certainly only provides light coverage - not even up to medium coverage. It's the only product that can go on smoothly on my skin for the time being.

Another product I would recommend is the Laura Mercier tinted moisturisers. A friend of mine recently just picked that up from Sephora and loved it. She has combination skin with blemishes and one layer of that product is enough to make her look really glowy and radiant.

No, I am not done.

What I use to cover up scaring, pimple marks and dark eye circles. Erase paste from benefit for the under eyes. I got the shade 02 Medium. It has a salmony kinda colour and it's a little dark for me but shade 01 Light is too light that it makes my under eyes slightly ashy. Apart from just covering the dark circles, it brightens as well! Again, super hydrating.

And to cover up my blemishes and pimples marks, I use the Make Up Forever Full Cover concealer. It does what it says - provides full coverage. However, this product is on the dry side. Which is why the eye cream is lying next to it. :D Simple mix both of them together and viola! Full coverage and hydrating. Sometimes I use these under my eyes too! You can use any eye cream you want, doesn't matter.

And on to the last and final step of ze fez makeup. The setting powder.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Finish Powder

I have always preferred using translucent powders to set my makeup simply because I don't want any harsh lines showing nor do I need more coverage from the setting powder. I picked this up from Sephora for about RM40-50. It's a mini sized one which is great because it's so easy to travel with!

This Tarte Amazonian Clay Finish Powder has no paraben, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, gluten and is also dermatologist tested. I am all for no paraben or organic products! What you put on your face, is very important. Yes, very very very. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, the hair. Here's how it looks after bleaching. Still fairly decent because this was taken right after I left the saloon and I had treatment done.

After about 3-4 days of washing once everyday, the bottom half of my hair (bleached areas) started to get kinda dry and tangly. But fear not, because yes, again, thank you Innisfree. I am too in love with Innisfree, I know.

The camellia essential hair oil serum is saooh gewd. I mentioned this before in the blogpost on Innisfree skin care products. Received a sample sized one of this from them, loved it, went to purchase a full sized one. Works wonder, really. For all you dry, damaged hair people, give this a try! Leaves hair looking soft and healthy. Love love. And, only RM40! The smell does not linger on your hair though. Which is fine and probably great for people who does not like scented products.

And..... I am finally done with this blogpost! Phew. Hope you guys found these helpful! Also, do note that what worked well for me may not work for you but everything is worth trying. If you never try, you'll never know. Products for makeup and hair are generally easier to try. What you can do is moisturise your clean face and go barefaced to Sephora or anywhere with testers. Pick up products you want to try and just do your whole face of makeup in there - it's not a crime I promise you. Then walk around or leave the store and do some shopping. From this you will sort of know if this product suits you or breaks you out because some products takes time to oxidise and set properly. So yeah :)

Good day beautiful people! <3 div="">

Innisfree | Skin Care Review

Ok, I know this is old news by now because this post is long overdue. I thought that I should give it some time so that I can properly review this product. Everyone knows that one's skin does not change overnight, right? :)

So, Innisfree. I've heard people rave about this product for so long before they decide to finally open an outlet here in Malaysia (December, 2014)! Their store is located at Sunway Pyramid, Malaysia. How awesome is that! I was having classes on the day of their opening and thus only visited the store only 2 days after.

A little introduction on Innisfree:

Innisfree is known for their 6 free chemicals - No parabens, no artificial pigments, no animal ingredients, no mineral oil and no artificial fragrances.

Innisfree's products are all eco-friendly. From the products you apply on your face to their packaging. When I first purchased some of their products I was told to bring back empty bottles of any Innisfree products (except makeup and another thing - I'm sorry I really cannot remember) for recycling purposes in order to reduce environmental impact! Other than that, their packaging are all made of recycled cardboard. I am all for environmental friendly campaigns and what not. I try.

I will not go into Innisfree's history and all that jazz but if you're interested, you can visit their website here or their Facebook page here for more information.

Let's get into the products, shall we?

I want to talk about this first. This product was purchased in Singapore before they came to Malaysia.

This is the Green Tea Seed Oil - Serum

I entered the stall and asked one of the sales lady to recommend me something for my dry skin. It was very serious at that time to the point where it is impossible to have a smooth application of foundation or bb cream on my face -- Note, was. So, she introduced me to this. The Green Tea Seed Oil is an anti-oxidative oil made with Jeju green tea seeds for deep moisturization and nourishment.

I purchased this for SGD57. Which will cost around RM140 ++ in Malaysia.

30ml

I have never owned a serum before in my life because these things are uber expensive! But I was very pleased to find out that this serum isn't as expensive as I thought it would be. This was purchased last year sometime in November and no, I have not finished it yet. Neither have I reached half bottle! And yes, I use this almost everyday! Probably at an average of 3-4 times a week. You only need so little.

This product really helps me achieve a smooth application of my foundation. I can't tell you how much I love it! It does not feel very oily or tacky after application. Also, there are other serums available for other skin types.

From this purchase, I received a free sample.

This is their camellia essential hair kit. The shampoo helped my hair stay clean for more than a day. I have oily hair and have to wash at least once a day... However, the formula is probably not suitable for my scalp because I noticed that I start to develop quite a of dandruff after using this.

To add on to that, the conditioner does not help make my hair any smoother.

BUT, the hair serum is pretty good! And smells really really good.

Now, moving on to the products I purchased from Innisfree, Sunway Pyramid.

The first one is this set" which consists of their green tea seed serum (80ml), green tea balancing toner (70ml) and green tea balancing lotion (70ml)

You guys, this is bomb. My skin changed tremendously after using this for awhile. I can now say that I have normal skin instead of dry skin. Products that were a little dry for me works really well now. I don't get dry patches anymore! My skin is always hydrated and feels more awake. It's amazing. I cannot thank Innisfree enough. Works well and let's not forget, environmental friendly too! What's better than having good skin and saving the planet at the same time??

This set consists of their volcanic mask, pore cleaning foam and toner.
Unfortunately, I can't comment much on this set because I have yet to try all of them. But, I am loving the mask! Not too sure about whether or not my pores have minimised because I don't have significantly large pores to tell. But, my skin always feels younger and smoother after applying this mask.

Jeju volcanic black head out balm

Now this is something to rave about! I was searching in the store for something around RM20-30 to reach RM120 to receive the free gift of three little cleansers (which I will talk about more later).

And I found this.

"What's this?", I asked.

"It's a blackhead balm. Rub a little on your nose or mouth area for about 5 mins to melt off all your black heads and white heads", she said.

"What nonsense. But what the heck. It's only RM25. Why not", I thought to myself.

And, to my disbelief.. This thing actually works! I've stopped using blackhead strips. From using this product time to time, I notice my blackhead slowly decreasing - not overnight please keep in mind.

You know how when you apply foundation or bb cream on your nose, you'll see several little bumps? Yeah, it reduced and yes no more. Amazing how this thing actually works! THUMBS UP!!

From here onwards are all the freebies I got from this purchase.

3 little samples of their cleaning foams

I've only tried the "apple juicy deep cleansing foam" and it does what it says, deep cleansing. But I feel that it's a little drying for me so I don't use it everyday.

On the left of this photo are a few of their sheet masks. WHICH I LOVE. My skin always feels so refreshed and pampered! This is the first and only sheet mask I've ever tried that doesn't give me a stinging burning sensation. Love it.

To sum it all up, Innisfree is the bombdiggity! If you haven't found something that works for your skin (or if you have but are keeping your options open), do consider giving Innisfree a try. I personally love it.

Also, they just launched their new line of skin care - Orchid Enriched line.

I will purchase more of their makeup products in the future as well. I've tested a few of their products in their store, and I think I might just love it as much as their skin care. Look out for posts on that soon!

UPDATE: The Green Tea Seed set and the Jeju Volcanic set is not longer available. It was their opening promotion set. However, you can purchase each products individually! Some are in bigger bottles. It's still worth it to purchase from Innisfree be cause they always have promotions and free samples!

Stay awesome, y'all!
