Innisfree | Skin Care Review

Ok, I know this is old news by now because this post is long overdue. I thought that I should give it some time so that I can properly review this product. Everyone knows that one's skin does not change overnight, right? :)

So, Innisfree. I've heard people rave about this product for so long before they decide to finally open an outlet here in Malaysia (December, 2014)! Their store is located at Sunway Pyramid, Malaysia. How awesome is that! I was having classes on the day of their opening and thus only visited the store only 2 days after.

A little introduction on Innisfree:

Innisfree is known for their 6 free chemicals - No parabens, no artificial pigments, no animal ingredients, no mineral oil and no artificial fragrances.

Innisfree's products are all eco-friendly. From the products you apply on your face to their packaging. When I first purchased some of their products I was told to bring back empty bottles of any Innisfree products (except makeup and another thing - I'm sorry I really cannot remember) for recycling purposes in order to reduce environmental impact! Other than that, their packaging are all made of recycled cardboard. I am all for environmental friendly campaigns and what not. I try.

I will not go into Innisfree's history and all that jazz but if you're interested, you can visit their website here or their Facebook page here for more information.

Let's get into the products, shall we?

I want to talk about this first. This product was purchased in Singapore before they came to Malaysia.

This is the Green Tea Seed Oil - Serum

I entered the stall and asked one of the sales lady to recommend me something for my dry skin. It was very serious at that time to the point where it is impossible to have a smooth application of foundation or bb cream on my face -- Note, was. So, she introduced me to this. The Green Tea Seed Oil is an anti-oxidative oil made with Jeju green tea seeds for deep moisturization and nourishment.

I purchased this for SGD57. Which will cost around RM140 ++ in Malaysia.

30ml

I have never owned a serum before in my life because these things are uber expensive! But I was very pleased to find out that this serum isn't as expensive as I thought it would be. This was purchased last year sometime in November and no, I have not finished it yet. Neither have I reached half bottle! And yes, I use this almost everyday! Probably at an average of 3-4 times a week. You only need so little.

This product really helps me achieve a smooth application of my foundation. I can't tell you how much I love it! It does not feel very oily or tacky after application. Also, there are other serums available for other skin types.

From this purchase, I received a free sample.

This is their camellia essential hair kit. The shampoo helped my hair stay clean for more than a day. I have oily hair and have to wash at least once a day... However, the formula is probably not suitable for my scalp because I noticed that I start to develop quite a of dandruff after using this.

To add on to that, the conditioner does not help make my hair any smoother.

BUT, the hair serum is pretty good! And smells really really good.

Now, moving on to the products I purchased from Innisfree, Sunway Pyramid.

The first one is this set" which consists of their green tea seed serum (80ml), green tea balancing toner (70ml) and green tea balancing lotion (70ml)

You guys, this is bomb. My skin changed tremendously after using this for awhile. I can now say that I have normal skin instead of dry skin. Products that were a little dry for me works really well now. I don't get dry patches anymore! My skin is always hydrated and feels more awake. It's amazing. I cannot thank Innisfree enough. Works well and let's not forget, environmental friendly too! What's better than having good skin and saving the planet at the same time??

This set consists of their volcanic mask, pore cleaning foam and toner.
Unfortunately, I can't comment much on this set because I have yet to try all of them. But, I am loving the mask! Not too sure about whether or not my pores have minimised because I don't have significantly large pores to tell. But, my skin always feels younger and smoother after applying this mask.

Jeju volcanic black head out balm

Now this is something to rave about! I was searching in the store for something around RM20-30 to reach RM120 to receive the free gift of three little cleansers (which I will talk about more later).

And I found this.

"What's this?", I asked.

"It's a blackhead balm. Rub a little on your nose or mouth area for about 5 mins to melt off all your black heads and white heads", she said.

"What nonsense. But what the heck. It's only RM25. Why not", I thought to myself.

And, to my disbelief.. This thing actually works! I've stopped using blackhead strips. From using this product time to time, I notice my blackhead slowly decreasing - not overnight please keep in mind.

You know how when you apply foundation or bb cream on your nose, you'll see several little bumps? Yeah, it reduced and yes no more. Amazing how this thing actually works! THUMBS UP!!

From here onwards are all the freebies I got from this purchase.

3 little samples of their cleaning foams

I've only tried the "apple juicy deep cleansing foam" and it does what it says, deep cleansing. But I feel that it's a little drying for me so I don't use it everyday.

On the left of this photo are a few of their sheet masks. WHICH I LOVE. My skin always feels so refreshed and pampered! This is the first and only sheet mask I've ever tried that doesn't give me a stinging burning sensation. Love it.

To sum it all up, Innisfree is the bombdiggity! If you haven't found something that works for your skin (or if you have but are keeping your options open), do consider giving Innisfree a try. I personally love it.

Also, they just launched their new line of skin care - Orchid Enriched line.

I will purchase more of their makeup products in the future as well. I've tested a few of their products in their store, and I think I might just love it as much as their skin care. Look out for posts on that soon!

UPDATE: The Green Tea Seed set and the Jeju Volcanic set is not longer available. It was their opening promotion set. However, you can purchase each products individually! Some are in bigger bottles. It's still worth it to purchase from Innisfree be cause they always have promotions and free samples!

Stay awesome, y'all!

xx

The dead sea products has a slight smell that is soothing to me, I don't mind the fragrance at all and after using the product my face felt a lot smoother and looked more clear (complexion wise). 8. Washing takes place twice a day, not just before sleep. This includes using a facial cleanser to scoop out the dirt in your pores. Make-up remover is recommended for those who wear makeup. If you are in a skin whitening regimen, follow this up with toner and moisturizer. The neck is often overlooked when washing the face. Don't forget it next time. Mary Crosland

  16. It is not easy getting old because that is when everything and anything that can go wrong does. Your body starts to loose most of the necessary functions it had when you were younger. Your skin begins to sag and becomes dry and basically you look in the mirror and don't like the person looking back. There must be something that can be done to reverse this damage that has been done and/or to prevent it from getting worse. Turning back the clock would be a great idea.

  28. You may find that you if you begin to suffer with a Hydralyft large wart, the virus spreads. In this case you will begin to notice more and more of them growing in the same area or elsewhere on your body. There are different types of wart. Some, instead of being visibly apparent, grow into the skin. This type of wart can easily be passed from person to person and are more easily spread around the skin of the sufferer when they are scratched or picked. The warts that grow on the soles of your feet are of the 'Plantar' variety. They are very common and can cause some discomfort. However there is no need to be too concerned because they are in fact harmless. Warts grow due to the contraction of a viral infection in the skin and they are very contagious. You can catch the virus from walking on any area that is infected. This can be any area where another person has walked such as in communal shower room. You can also pick them up by walking on any other surface with bare feet. It is always advisable to wear socks or shoes. If you have a small scratch or lesion on the outer layer of your skin then the virus will embed into your flesh and the wart will be begin to develop. This type of wart is inward growing and so it penetrates deeper layers of the skin. This can make it painful to walk around and cause swelling of the foot. If this happens you need to put some salicyclic acid onto the area every day until it takes effect.

  29. Dealing a child with ADHD may be Memory Hack difficult especially in the classroom but there are effective and safe ways to help them aside from giving regular medicines prescribed by doctors. Appropriate support from the people around him including parents, teachers and students are vital in making ADHD in the classroom, a condition that can be very challenging, not only fulfilling for the child but also for everyone else involved. Grief counseling is often important because it can be very hard to recover from any type of loss. For example imagine the state of mind of a young person who lost his spouse. Some people go into a depressed state and lose motivation and a sense of purpose. Loss of any type is a major challenge to us and coming out of it may seem almost impossible. Reflections on life are inevitable in making sense of the loss of a spouse, loss of a child, loss of a parent, death of a friend or even knowing an acquaintance who has passed. This is the place where grief counseling comes into the picture.

  30. A chemical peel can sting a little bit, but Hydralyft its generally not a painful procedure. As the "dissolved" skin cells slough off, you can expect some mild skin peeling for a few days and a little bit of redness, but overall, the downtime is minimal. You can certainly go about your normal business following a chemical peel. As you get older, keratinization of your cells and skin get slower and instead of exfoliating your skin every 28 days it is better to do that a bit later. Otherwise, it can develop deeper wrinkles, discoloration, broken capillaries and many more. There are many good skin care products available in the market for woman older than 30. If you have some skin issues such as discoloration and redness on the cheeks, dark circles around your eyes congenitally or develop a bit later in your life then you should be very careful to choose skin care products from the market. Despite of using physical and harsh defoliators use chemical and gentle ones and apply it very mildly on your skin. Harsh ones actually speed up the process of regeneration of skin and lead to deficiencies in the body. Similarly, select a cleanser with the following abilities i-e without alcohol, without perfume, no parabens and no dyes. Actually, all of this stuff is not recommended for sensitive skins. Moreover, many skins do not respond very well to these products and may result in more redness, dryness and flakiness.

  31. ADD and ADHD - Is There a Difference? The answer Memory Hack to this question is a bit more complicated than it appears at first glance. The reason for this is twofold. ADD or Attention Deficit Disorder is, in the scientific community, the old medical term for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD. ADD is also, however, the term used by some lay people to describe individuals with ADHD who are not hyperactive. In the scientific community, the terms are interchangeable. In the lay community, the terms may describe two very different problems. ADD is the older scientific term, used by physicians and researchers for the condition that is today referred to as ADHD. Physicians and researchers no longer use the term ADD at all. In the 80s the manual of psychiatric diagnosis, the DSM was updated. The new DSM IV labeled the disorder that had been previously called ADD, ADHD to reflect the fact that most people with ADHD are hyperactive. The DSM IV described three subtypes of ADHD. The hyperactive/impulsive subtype was labeled ADHD-HI, the Predominantly Inattentive subtype was labeled ADHD-PI, and the combined type was referred to as ADHD-C. Lay people, as might be expected, failed to read the DSM IV. They sometimes use the term ADD to refer to anyone with ADHD and they also sometimes use the term ADD to refer to people who are inattentive but who are not hyperactive or impulsive.

  32. Do you see what your skin care needs are? Hydralyft Now you can put your mirror away and start looking for the products that are going to help you get back to the skin you used to have or have always wanted. Skin Care Tips for Healthier Skin. One of the first skin care tip to know is that using natural, organic skin care products is an important factor in achieving healthy skin. These are products that are free from toxins and synthetic ingredients - ingredients that are both ineffective and may also pose risks to your long-term health. You'll also want to look for products that contain antioxidants. Antioxidants help protect your skin from the oxidation process, which is when healthy cells are attacked by free radicals, causing these healthy cells to die. While there's little that can be done to protect yourself from these free radicals - they're produced by environmental stressors like sunlight, pollution, and smoking - using topical antioxidants is like putting a shield up against them. Some of the best antioxidants to look for are Vitamins A, C, and E, lipoic acid, selenium, and Coenzyme Q10.

  33. Third, it's important to look for a product with The Memory Hack a money-back guarantee. This indicates a company that stands behind their product because they believe in it and know they have done the research to prove that their formulation is effective. A good ADHD herbal treatment will help your child to feel better and do better at home and in school without worries about side effects. Using these products is one of the best ways to insure that your child enjoys a happy childhood in which he or she can play, laugh, and learn and feel like just another kid. Like you, many parents are looking for natural ways to treat ADHD. Some of these parents are afraid of the risks and long term effects of drugs while others have kids whose symptoms got worse by taking the recommended drugs. Other parents just prefer a natural approach because it fits with their current lifestyle. Whatever your reason, read this article and you will find out more about the natural approach.Any natural method is incomplete without a sound diet as its foundation. A healthy diet will make any treatment plan more effective. When you give the body the nutrients it needs to function properly, it roots out dysfunction and heals itself more quickly. When you feed the brain what it needs to produce feel-good neurotransmitters, this helps create a balanced mood, especially when you also steer clear of chemicals and preservatives that can adversely affect the brain.

  34. Two examples- We all have a normal, healthy desire to Memory Hack be loved and accepted, especially by those closest to us. However, when this need is expanded into a feeling that everyone must like and approve of us at all times and if they do not that we are failing terribly as human beings, then it has crossed the line and become a neurotic attitude. Healthy effort becomes neurotic "workaholism" when you must always give 150%....not just in a crisis. Some other abiding needs and behaviors that might be considered neurotic would be: The need for a partner who will solve all of lifes problems: Grows out of normal need for love, partnership and assistance. The tendency to restrict oneself, to be satisfied with very little or to remain inconspicuous: Grows out of normal need to move cautiously, delay gratification. The need to be powerful and controlling, contemptuous of weakness and irrationality: Grows out of normal need to have others behave in a reasonable rational way. The need to get the better of others or to exploit them: Grows out of normal need to have influence over others. A desperate need for admiration, recognition and prestige, or a fear of being ignored: Grows out of normal need to be recognized and appreciated by others.
