TooFaced Everything Nice | What Pretty Girls Are Made Off

One of my favourite past times would be watching reviews and makeup tutorials on YouTube. Some of my favourite beauty bloggers are TarababyzCoffeeBreakwithDaniBailey B and so many more I can't even! I should probably dedicate a post on all the beauty bloggers I follow on YouTube and why I love them.

Anyway, back to the main topic of this blog post. As I was saying, I spend a ton of my time watching reviews and makeup tutorials and then one day one of them - I don't remember who, did a review on this particular Too Faced holiday edition palette and I fell. in. love. I know right then and there that I had to own one! You'll see why.

I headed over to Sephora, Sunway Pyramid somewhere in November and enquired about the palette. And to my surprise so many of them did not know what I was talking about! I was so disappointed and went back thinking, could it be? That it would not be available in Malaysia? Would that mean that I had to order it of a foreign website? I was so devastated. But I did not give up. I constantly went back to any Sephora stores to ask if they knew if this palette will be in stores in Malaysia.

One weekend, I saw that they had given a makeover to the TooFaced section in their stores and on it was a picture of all the TooFaced Everything Nice holiday sets!! I nearly squealed. Although, no one could tell me when the actual product will be in stores, I was still so very happy. Already beyond contented.

The week after, I went back and RIGHT THERE. SITTING ON THE SHELF. THE TOOFACED EVERYTHING NICE PALETTE (RM155). I grabbed onto one right away and walked straight to the counter to make payment. My heart pounded so fast from excitement. Finally. The day has arrived.

Even the box is so pretty. It's a little wrecked because I told the cashier in Sephora that I wanted to check if everything nice was in the box. HAH, ok. I have purchased something there before to have one product missing inside the box. Hence, the precaution. But to my dismay she kinda ruined my pretty box. *inhales heavily*

Welp! Let's get into this babeh shall we??

The palette is made out of this beautifully printed cardboard. I'm not very fond of pink but the goodness is on the inside. The cardboard feels nice. My only worry is that it will wear in time and you can't clean it when it gets dirty. But it's okay, you can always depot them whenever! :)

Other than the palette itself, you'll find a little pink sparkly bag with a sample size of their Better Than Sex mascara which is amazing but unfortunately smudges a heck on me.

I use this bag to keep all my makeup as well all my essential brushes when I travel. It fits quite a lot of stuff! Oh and a beauty blender as well. I quite like it. Although, it does not fit the Everything Nice palette. Would have been nice if it could. But that's okay.

Here's the back of the bag. Pretty, yes? However, the glitters do fall off. Not excessively though. There might be a solution. I think you could use clear nail polish to go over it to prevent the fall outs. I might insert an update in this post if I ever decide to try this.

Now, to the glorious palette.

*Sings hallelujah* Tell me this isn't the most beautiful palette you have ever seen. As you open the palette, you'll be greeted with a smack of the delicious smell from the Chocolate Soleil bronzer - which is of course made of cocoa and does indeed taste sweet. Yes I may have tasted it intentionally don't judge me you would be tempted too don't lie. Moving on...

The reason why I was so drawn to this palette was the versatility that this palette provides. Imagine the number of looks you can create with the 20 eyeshadows in here. You can go from a neutral look to a glamour/night look to a funky look! There is a number of matte shades and shimmery shades for you to work with.

Below are the swatches of all the eyeshadows from top to bottom, right to left. Yes I know I should have swatched them left to right. Sorry about that. My skin colour looks different in almost all the photo due to the inconsistent sunlight. That, I apologise for too.

My favourite row of eyeshadows. The shade Too Glam is to die for! Simply gorgeous that colour.

These shadows are all so so pigmented, creamy and smooth. It literally feels like butter and is very true to the colour you see on the palette. I swear I am not exaggerating. Not one bit. And I thought I loved Urban Decay's eyeshadows. Not anymore. This, I really love.

The colour from the last row, Head Over Heels, is however quite disappointing. It doesn't show up as what you see in the palette at all. It's pretty.... Sheer? Yep. But that's just one out of 20. The rest are all superb!

Other than the 20 eyeshadows, you also get 2 blushes, their ever so famous Chocolate Soleil bronzer and a highlighter.

Blushers are beautiful and the bronzer is my ultimate favourite. The highlighter is leaning more to the gold side. So if you like that then yay! I would prefer something more white? Yes.

Inside with the palette, you'll find an insert with guides on the different looks you can create with this palette and a few little brushes.

At first I thought, oh I'm most likely going to chuck these brushes aside and forget about them but I was wrong. These brushes are surprisingly really soft and usable! Theres a flat brush for contouring and applying blusher as well as a shader/blending eyeshadow brush and a flat slanted brush which you can use for lining your eyes or your eyebrows. I quite like them!

Especially this one. I would use this to contour my cheekbones and blend it out with a fluffier brush. It gives a more defined contour which I like once in awhile. And the glitter on them. So pretty! Everything in this palette is just plain pretty. It truly is everything nice.

Here are two looks that I created using this palette.

First one is a natural makeup looks with just the browns. I used:

Knockout - On the outer crease/waterline
Fawned Of You - As the transition colour/crease colour/lighten my brows
Dream On - In the middle of the eyelids
Turtle Dove - To highlight my brow-bone, inner corners of my eyes, high points of cheekbones, bridge of my nose and my cupids bow
Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - To bronze the side of my cheekbones, jawline, forehead and contour my nose
Papa Don't Peach - Apple's of my cheeks

** Brows, lips and mascara are not from Too Faced.

Second look:

Totally Fetch - Outer corner of my eyes
Kindness is Free - Centre of my eyelids
Fond of You - Transition/blending shade in the crease
Inner Light - Inner corner of my eyes
Turtle Dove - To highlight my brow-bone, high points of cheekbones, bridge of my nose and my cupids bow
Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - To bronze the side of my cheekbones, jawline, forehead and contour my nose
Sweet Pink - Apple's of my cheeks

** Please forgive the terrible brows. I did this eye look when I first got the palette and did not plan on going out or posting this eye look up after. But hey, turned out pretty okay! So I slapped on foundation on half of my face together with the bronzer, highlight, brows and blush. Hence, only half the face is in the photo :D So there.

Highly highly recommend this as a gift for someone or yourself! Well hurry up now as it is limited edition. It will not be available all year round!

Till next time!

Tarte | Kiss & Belle LipSurgence Kit

Christmas came early this year! Went to Sephora to shop for a birthday present for a friend and stumbled upon this.

I picked it up to take a look and when I was about to put it back down, the lady working in Sephora said, "This one is very nice! All the colours are limited edition".

So I had to.

I just had to.

Not only because it's limited edition but because the colours are all so gorgeous. I played with the testers for a bit and my my. I had to get them for myself.

Ripped this picture off Tarte's website because I couldn't get a good picture of it in the box due to the reflection and all. So yeah.

You'll find 4 deluxe LipSurgence lip tints, 2 matte lip tints and 2 lip glosses. I am very surprised at how pigmented and hydrating these lip tints are! Do bear in mind that all these lip tints have an orangey, peachy tone to them.

They are pretty short. In the photo shown above, that's how long (short) it is. It's okay for me because I never get the chance to finish a full sized lip product before the expiry. One downside though, you see how the tip is like... sharpened? What happens when you use the heck out of it? 'Cause there isn't any sharpener in the set.

Twist the bottom part of the lip tint to get it in and out

These are the 4 lip tints
Dainty (pink), innocent (warm nude), dreamy (cool raspberry) and alluring (mauve).
* not named according to order in picture *

Love them to the max. They have this slight minty scent to them and upon application there will be a slight minty feeling as well. It is so hydrating though! And so smooth to apply. Also, surprisingly very pigmented for a lip tint. I am truly amazed. There will be swatches below, later.

2 matte lip tints
Eternal (pink nude) and fancy (plum berry)

I can never wear matte lips anything because I have pretty dry lips. The NYX matte lipsticks is a big fat no no for me. Not even with the most hydrating lip balm, I cannot rock them. But these. They're pretty dang awesome! Of course, the application will not be as smooth as the lip tints you'll find in this set. The application of these matte lip tints are pretty rough but it does not enhance dry lips that much. I have worn the eternal shade which is a pinky nude one several times. Love it! Have not got the chance to wear the shade in fancy yet.

I forgot to take photos of the lip glosses separately but from the second picture in the beginning of the post you can see that the caps for the lip glosses are different. There are floral prints on them instead of just stripes. SO PRETTY. And the lip glosses are super pigmented! Pretty tacky though but really good! The shades are kiss (light pink) and belle (raspberry). The shade kiss is a light pink colour with shimmers in it. It's quite pretty. Although the shade belle is a lot prettier. Super pigmented super glossy super beautiful. You can just wear it on its own because it's that pigmented!

Swatches of all the shades from left to right:
Lip tints
Dainty (pink), Innocent (warm nude), Dreamy (cool raspberry), Alluring (mauve)

Matte lip tints:
Eternal (pink nude), Fancy (plum berry)

Lip glosses:
Kiss (light pink), Belle (raspberry)

Here one of the colours on my lips. This is the shade Dainty. Despite how light the colour should be, it does show on the lips. And my lips are pretty dark.

I've had this set for quite some time already. Been slacking. More posts coming up! See you in the next post, beautifuls.
