Urban Decay | 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil Set (Holiday 2013 Edition)

HELLO! :) Today I want to talk about something that I have had for awhile now. It's the Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil set.

This is the Holiday 2013 set. I can't remember how much I got this for but I think it's round RM100+. Unfortunately, it is not available anymore because it is limited. Although, they have the full sized ones of other colours available on their website or in Sephora stores.

In this set you'll find 6 colours, 5 of which are exclusive/limited edition colours. Only one out of six of the colours is available right now. However, I'm pretty sure you can find colours that are similar to these ones. They have 40 colours to choose from! That's a pretty wide range. They're waterproof and creamy eye pencils. Among the 40, you can find so many different shades I can't even! Some metallic, some matte, some glittery...

Please excuse how they look. Some are shorter and some are pretty durrtttyy. I got them last year, so yeah.

Left to right: Riot, Apathy, Black Market, Ink, West, Desperation

Desperation is the only colour that is available for purchase now. The rest are all exclusive/limited edition colours. :(

I absolutely love these eye pencils. They're so thick and creamy and stays on my eyelids for the longest time (with eye primer, of course). I have hooded and really oily lids and would normally go for liquid eyeliners because they last a lot longer and does not smudge. Sometimes I would use gel liners.. but gurl. Even those smudge on me.

Then I found these pencil eyeliners. I initially wanted to just get one black one but then these just looked so pretty and adorable so I thought what the heck. I didn't know they were limited, then. Well lucky me, now.

When I first opened them, West and Black Market were the only two colours I ever touched. Until only this year, I started trying the other colours and OH I absolutely love Apathy and Riot! They are a little shimmery but no biggie really. Sometimes I pat some taupe eyeshadow above them to have it looking more matte and of course helps it last a lot longer.

I apply eye primer before applying these pencils to help them last longer. Without the eye primer they do tend to smudge a little. But still the best eye pencils I've ever tried so far.

You can also use these pencils as eyeshadows as well. Just smudge it out with a brush or a smudger. You have to be really fast though as they dry up really really quickly.

Till next time!

Fräulein3°8 | 120 Colours Jelly Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Heya! So my Fräulein3°8 120 Colours Jelly Matte Eyeshadow Palette has finally arrived! I ordered this palette off MySale for pretty cheap. I don't remember how much it costed me but it was less than RM100. Also, I don't think it's available anymore.

Before I purchased this palette, I tried doing some research on reviews but couldn't find much. So, I though.. What the heck. Let's just give it a shot. Took almost a month for it to finally arrive.

Let's get into it!

Here's how it looks like. Just a simple black container and 2 layers of colours stacked on top of each other. I'm not a big fan of the case/container/whatever as it is feels kinda cheap but hey it was pretty cheap, right?

When I first opened case, the first thing that hit me was the smell. It smells a little like paint? I googled to see if anyone else talked about the smell but to no avail. I've used the eyeshadows on my eyes already and so far no itch or any allergy - I have pretty sensitive skin, by the way.

Unfortunately, the eyeshadows does not appear to match the description of "matte eyeshadow".

Almost half of the colours in the palette are shimmery.

Below will be swatches of some of the eyeshadows.

Swatches of the first row from left to right, top to bottom

The first colour (left to right) is a white eyeshadow. As you can see from the photo it is not pigmented at all. I had to swatch a few times to actually get the colour to show. Some of the colours look exactly like what you see on the palette. Unfortunately, like the white one.. Some is really not very pigmented at all. I did however notice that the matte shades has less fall outs than those shimmery ones.

Swatches from colours of the last row (left to right), top to bottom.

The black eyeshadow is really a let down! It's nothing compared to "black out" from Urban Decay. The second colour (left to right) is a shimmery blue. Beautiful colour! Don't know if you can see it but the consistency of the colour isn't very smooth. I tried swatching this colour with a brush and it made a mess! So much fallouts. Way too powdery for my liking. I would suggest that you dampen your brush for a less messy application and a better colour pay off or apply a white base first on your eyelids like the NYX Jumbo pencil in milk.

All in all I think this is a pretty okay palette. You get so many colours to experiment with at a pretty reasonable price. If you are pretty new to makeup and is an adventurous kind of person I would definitely recommend this palette. You get a row of pretty natural browns as well. Despite the downsides of this palette, I do still really like it.

This palette is not available in any stores in Malaysia and I honestly do not know where you can get this palette now. But you can visit their website here - Fräulein3°8. Otherwise, you can also purchase a palette similar to this at Luxola. Just search ZOELA and browse away!

Till next time!
